The order of tasks/Commands in a task which must be executed in turn

When configuring a task, the user has the option to decide whether the commands that will be visible in the task are to be executed in the order in which they are connected to each other or whether the user is to be able to "jump" between commands in such a way as to execute those that suit him/her best.

Example:
The TakeTask app can be used to help you learn how to use a new device. In this situation, it is extremely important to perform actions in a certain order, e.g. the user cannot perform any actions on the device if they do not perform the first step. In this case, you should tick the checkbox "Commands in a task must be executed in turn". The user will not be able to proceed to the next steps without completing the previous ones. Then you will gradually execute the following commands.
The checkbox "Task order imposed" can be found in the General Settings of the task.

Advanced Settings

By default, this checkbox is unticked, which means that the user can execute commands in any order. When checked, the user will not be able to select a different command from the list in the task than the one they are currently in.
Please Note: In addition, if the order of execution is imposed, the user is not able to edit the response in commands they have already executed, e.g. if command 4 has already executed, it is not possible to go back to command 2 to correct its response.

Appearance in the mobile app when that checkbox has been ticked

When you try to move on to the next command without answering, you will see an error message:
