Import Relations (Import/Export All Tasks)
The 'Import Relations' function allows to, en masse, import (for multiple tasks at once) users who are to perform the given task (task users) and to add them to the locations where they can perform the task (location users) using one .csv file. The function is available in the 'All Tasks' view under the 'Import/Export' button.
Click on the 'Import/Export' function and download the file with the import template (Please Note: You cannot change the names of template headers and/or their order and number).
A .csv file will be downloaded, ready to be opened by a spreadsheet, e.g. Excel.
- TaskID - ID of the task to which the user is to be connected (if within one task you make more modifications, add the same ID in the next row, if you modify other tasks, add more ID in the next rows)
- LocationGroup - Enter the name of the group of locations to which users are to be added in the task (this group of locations must be added to the task we have indicated in TaskID)
- Location - Enter the name of the location to which users are to be assigned - similarly as you would do it manually in Location Users
An example of a completed pattern:
The file ready to be imported is saved as UTF-8 CSV file:
We can import files prepared in this way into the application in two ways:
- Only import new records - Importing using this method will only import new users to both locations and tasks, without editing the assignment of currently added users. This means that only new user logins that didn't exist before are added (existing ones are omitted).
- Import new and update existing ones - Importing in this way will add new users to the location (Location Users) because here you always only add logins and the list of task users (Task Users) will override (be updated) according to the logins indicated in the import file. The example as a user of the task is Jan Kowalski, in the import file we have users Anna Nowak and Anna Kowalska. After importing and the update in the 'Location Users' view the following users will be visible: Jan Kowalski, Anna Nowak, Anna Kowalska, while in the 'Task Users' view, only Anna Nowak and Anna Kowalska will be visible (Jan Kowalski will be removed from the task).
